The 9th of May 2021
As most of you already know, Mother’s Day is the second Sunday of May. Although you should always let your mom know how much you love her, sometimes it is hard being away from home. Personally, I always hear the ideas of my friends such as “I will be baking her cakes” or “We will go to a spa”. Even though that is so amazing, it kind of makes it really hard to be away from your mom. It is different to celebrate it online because all you want is to give her a hug. It is hard sometimes to not be able to relate to being physically near my mom.
Online Party & Delivery
Although it is hard, there are many ways to pamper your mom whilst being away from home. There is never an excuse to let your loved ones feel the luv. Face-timing them can be such a simple thing to do but so appreciated in many ways, take time off from your schedule to give your mom a chance to connect to you. You can plan virtual breakfast, lunch or dinner. It all takes coordinating and communicating your ideas!
If you have a credit card or can borrow it from a friend (of course pay them back), you can order a flower or food delivery to your house. I mean, you don’t spend money on your parents due to the distance so once in awhile, it doesn’t hard to splash it out for them. Now, if getting a credit card is impossible, go to your local post office and send them a postcard!!
Postcards/ Online cards
I never really thought of the idea to send cards, until, I went to the post office and got a bunch of international stamps. The cool thing about is that it is not as expensive as you think. I literally spend the same amount that I wold of otherwise spent on two bags of chip or a frozen pizza. That is how underrated mailing has become, because nobody really considered that idea, so trust me, go for it!! There is also the option to send cards virtually, for free!
I know times are hard being away from your mom, I can relate, but know that we are making them proud and will pay off in the long run! Happy Mother’s Day to yours and mine.
